About the Role
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Data Platform team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position where you will play a vital role in evolving our core SaaS offerings. You will focus on scaling the Pinot Engine and building robust infrastructure that allows our customers to make faster, data-driven decisions through advanced ingestion and processing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the internals of our real-time database and data systems.
- Drive advancements in query engine performance, including optimization, execution, and compilation.
- Design and implement scalable, low-latency distributed systems while creating self-service automation tools.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a relevant engineering field.
- Strong programming proficiency in Java, C++, or Scala.
- Proven expertise in building and managing large-scale distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and database internals.
- Experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes.
- Bonus points for previous contributions to open-source projects.
