With more than 25 million paid memberships currently active on our platform, we are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Data Infrastructure team and help us build the systems that support the future of the creator economy. This role is fully remote, though you are welcome to visit our offices in New York or San Francisco if you prefer.
What you'll be doing
- Architect and maintain the large scale batch and streaming platforms that serve as the backbone for our product features, analytics, and experimentation.
- Create self-serve data tools that allow our engineers and data scientists to discover data, define contracts, and operate pipelines with minimal friction.
- Develop robust monitoring and observability solutions to ensure the performance and reliability of our data ecosystem while mentoring other engineers on infrastructure best practices.
What you'll bring
We are looking for someone with extensive experience in software engineering, particularly within data or platform infrastructure. You should be comfortable working in an English-speaking environment and possess the following qualifications:
- Over 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 4 years dedicated to data or platform infrastructure.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in architecting large scale stream processing systems using tools like Kafka and Spark, as well as batch processing systems like Airflow.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- A solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, and experience working with various data stores including object storage, relational databases, and OLAP systems.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to drive cross-functional architectural decisions regarding data storage, compute, and orchestration.
