About the Role
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join us in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will focus on the Application Backend, designing and implementing the services and APIs that drive our core customer experience. This is a senior-level position where you will collaborate across various teams to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions. We are seeking someone with a strong history of managing data-intensive environments and a commitment to delivering genuine value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex engineering projects from the initial scoping phase through implementation and long-term maintenance.
- Design and build robust backend services and APIs using technologies such as Go, Node.js, Python, gRPC, and AWS.
- Mentor other engineers while contributing to our technical documentation and overall software engineering best practices.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 8 years of professional experience developing data-intensive backend APIs and services at scale.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience leading cross-functional engineering projects.
- Strong proficiency in coding, preferably with Go or other typed, compiled languages.
- Extensive production experience with cloud platforms like AWS, container technologies such as Docker, and distributed systems.
- A proven track record of customer-centric leadership and delivering tangible results.
