Staff Site Reliability Engineer at Vultr

We are currently looking for a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This role is a vital part of our platform strategy, and you will work alongside a talented group of engineers to automate our systems and drive innovation across our global data center network.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement a modern observability stack while refining our incident-response workflows.
• Architect and contribute to advanced cloud solutions for AI training, inference, and high-performance computing, with a specific focus on MLOps and observability.
• Champion SRE and DevOps principles by providing thought leadership, mentoring junior team members, and building automation that enhances system resilience and stability.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in an SRE role, specifically delivering distributed architectures.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience maintaining Kubernetes clusters within highly available or regulated environments.
• At least 2 years of practical experience with the modern Grafana stack, including Tempo, Loki, and Mimir.
• Strong programming proficiency in Golang or Python, with a willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
• A solid background in performance optimization for web stacks, including MySQL, Nginx, and PHP-FPM.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, configuration management, and complex CI/CD pipelines.

What we offer
