Staff Rust Protocol Engineer at ABC Labs

At ABC Labs, we are dedicated to building the Reserve protocol, an ambitious project aiming to create a global reserve currency backed by a diverse index of real-world assets like gold, bonds, and real estate. Our goal is to provide a stable alternative to inflationary fiat and volatile cryptocurrencies. We are currently seeking a Staff Rust Protocol Engineer for a full-time, remote position to lead our expansion into the Solana ecosystem. You will play a pivotal role in porting our core protocol logic to the SVM and defining the technical standards for our new Solana-based infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our existing Solidity development team to translate core protocol and governance logic into high-performance Rust programs for Solana.
• Develop robust, reusable components, comprehensive unit and integration tests, and deployment automation to maintain our high standards for code quality.
• Partner with external security auditors to identify and resolve vulnerabilities while providing clear documentation to support our developers and frontend teams.

Requirements

• You possess senior-level expertise in writing performant, well-tested code using Rust.
• You have a deep understanding of DeFi-focused Solana programs and how they interface with frontend applications.
• You maintain a security-first mindset, as our protocols require rigorous safety standards.
• You are fluent in English and can maintain a schedule that includes being online between 11am and 2pm EST.
• Bonus points if you have production experience with Solana DeFi startups, can read and write Solidity, or have worked with bridging technologies like Wormhole or Layer Zero.
