What you bring

We are seeking a Senior-level Staff Performance Engineer to join our team on a Full Time basis. This role is based in Poland and focuses on ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will play a critical role in maintaining our reputation as a leader in observability data.

• You will analyze performance at scale to detect bottlenecks and unusual system behaviors.
• You will investigate the root causes of scalability issues and collaborate with developers to implement effective solutions.
• You will build and maintain robust tools and frameworks using Node.js, TypeScript, and Docker to streamline our testing processes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have at least five years of software engineering experience with a strong background in performance or quality testing. We require extensive expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, as you will act as a subject matter expert for the team. You should be comfortable working with data-intensive applications and have hands-on experience with Docker. We value candidates who possess excellent communication skills and can explain complex technical concepts to both internal and external stakeholders. A background in handling customer escalations and supporting production systems is highly beneficial. We look for individuals who are not afraid to speak their minds, enjoy a good sense of humor, and have a genuine love for goats.
