The opportunity

We are searching for a Staff Performance Engineer or Staff SDET to join our team in Poland. In this role, you will help us unlock the value of all observability data by ensuring our products perform at the highest level. We are backed by Sequoia and CRV, and our technology is deployed in massive organizations where it processes hundreds of terabytes and petabytes of IT and security data. You will play a vital role in maintaining the intelligence, control, and observability our customers rely on every day.

A day in the life

• You will conduct performance testing at scale to identify potential bottlenecks and uncover any anomalous behavior within our systems.
• You will act as a TypeScript subject matter expert, helping to mentor the team and improve our collective coding standards and best practices.
• You will build and maintain custom tools and frameworks using Node.js, TypeScript, and Docker to help our development teams integrate performance testing into their daily workflows.

Who you are

You are a seasoned professional with at least five years of software engineering experience, specifically focused on quality or performance testing. You are comfortable working with data-intensive applications and have a strong grasp of how to handle complex data streams. Because we operate in a distributed environment, you possess excellent communication skills and can explain technical topics clearly to both internal and external stakeholders. You are fluent in English, and you bring the following technical expertise to the table:

• Extensive, hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven experience working with Docker.
• A background in developing performance benchmarks, custom tools, and comprehensive test suites.
• Experience navigating customer escalations and supporting sustaining engineering efforts.
