We are currently looking for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data and AI team on a full-time, hybrid basis. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our AI initiatives, architecting agentic workflows and deploying sophisticated applications that utilize reasoning, planning, and autonomous action. We operate across the United States and Canada, and we value team members who are curious, kind, and ready to tackle ambiguous technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage robust data pipelines, handling everything from data curation and labeling to the complex processing of unstructured data.
• Develop and deploy AI-powered interfaces, including chatbots, browser extensions, and web applications, while optimizing model inference for speed and cost.
• Provide technical leadership by evaluating AI models, applying prompt engineering techniques, and ensuring that our applications maintain high standards for content and performance.

Requirements

We are seeking a senior-level engineer with a strong background in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. You should have extensive experience with Python and a proven ability to work with modern AI frameworks and databases.

• Deep expertise in data engineering tools like Pandas and NumPy, as well as database interfacing using SQLAlchemy and various vector databases.
• Hands-on experience with foundation models and AI orchestration tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or HuggingFace Transformers.
• Proficiency in MLOps practices and the ability to build, monitor, and refine AI-driven applications using tools like Flask or FastAPI.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to lead technical direction and collaborate effectively across diverse, dispersed teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for client and team engagements.

What we offer
