We are based in the Netherlands and are excited to find someone who is ready to make a significant impact on our technical roadmap.
What is this role?
We are hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer for a full-time, on-site position. This is a lead-level role designed for an experienced professional who enjoys balancing deep technical work with strategic planning. You will be a key figure in our organization, helping us define how we use machine learning to solve complex challenges while mentoring those around you.
What will you do?
- You will identify high-impact opportunities for machine learning and work with stakeholders to prioritize these initiatives across our gaming platforms.
- You will manage the entire machine learning lifecycle, which includes everything from initial data exploration and feature engineering to the final deployment and evaluation of your models.
- You will provide technical leadership by setting the direction for our ML projects, ensuring that we follow best practices while staying aligned with our broader business goals.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in data science and machine learning, along with the following qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in building and deploying machine learning models at scale.
- Expertise in Python, including libraries like PyTorch and XGBoost, as well as proficiency in SQL.
- Experience working with orchestration tools like Airflow or SageMaker.
- A solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including recent experience with Large Language Models.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
- A proven history of leading cross-functional initiatives and mentoring other engineers.
We also value experience with MLFlow and AWS services, as well as any contributions you have made to open-source projects or academic publications.
What's in it for you?
Joining our team means you will be working on large-scale systems that impact a massive user base. You will have the opportunity to shape the technical culture of our company and work alongside a group of passionate engineers in a collaborative environment. We offer a challenging and rewarding role where your expertise in machine learning will be at the forefront of our gaming technology.
