If you are passionate about building the future of robotics with a group of colleagues who truly value every voice, we would love to have you on our team.
What you bring
We are seeking a Senior Staff Functional Safety Systems Engineer to join us on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. In this role, you will be the primary lead for safety initiatives, ensuring our autonomous industrial trucks meet the highest standards of reliability and regulatory compliance. Your work will be central to our product development, helping us maintain safety across both hardware and software systems.
- Lead and manage all functional safety activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain a robust Functional Safety Management System for our hardware and software teams.
- Conduct comprehensive risk analyses and Failure Mode and Effects Analyses to ensure our vehicles meet rigorous safety standards like ISO 3691-4 and ANSI B56.5.
Requirements
The ideal candidate possesses a deep technical background in functional safety and autonomous systems. You should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, though a Master’s degree is preferred. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the field, specifically someone who has successfully managed safety systems and navigated complex regulatory landscapes. You must be fluent in English and capable of explaining intricate safety cases to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A certification as a Functional Safety Professional is considered a significant asset, as is a proven track record of designing safety-critical hardware and software architectures.
