At Safari AI, we are on a mission to transform the world's billion existing IP cameras into sources of mission-critical intelligence. We provide enterprise owners with real-time data and actionable insights, such as occupancy metrics, throughput tracking, and live wait times. Having already secured our position as a leader in the theme park industry by partnering with major global operators, we are now expanding our reach into the massive live sports venue market. Backed by $8 million in seed funding from General Catalyst and Initialized Capital, we are preparing for our Series A in 2025 and looking for builders who want to help us scale our technology to its full potential.

- Drive critical design decisions for our core application services while setting the technical roadmap for our full-stack development.
- Collaborate closely with our engineering and operations teams to identify new priorities, improve development processes, and maintain high standards for system design and documentation.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and a passion for building complex systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience as an individual contributor in software engineering.
- Proven proficiency in React and Java.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud provider, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- A demonstrated track record of taking a complex service from initial concept through to production.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with big data frameworks like Flink, Hadoop, or Spark.
- Previous experience working within a startup environment.
Compensation and benefits
We believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally as we build the future of computer vision together. Our benefits package includes:
- Unlimited vacation to ensure you have time to recharge.
- Comprehensive health coverage, including vision insurance and dental insurance.
- 401k retirement planning options for our US-based team members.
- The flexibility of a hybrid work model.
- Access to top-tier hardware and the resources necessary to excel in your work.

If you are excited about the prospect of building a product that has never existed before and want to help us define the future of enterprise computer vision, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application directly to our team. Please note that we are not considering applications from agents or agencies at this time.
