About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this lead-level position, you will play a critical role in shaping our platform, mentoring team members, and driving the technical direction of our consumer-facing products. You will work within an environment that values high-quality code, elegant design, and proactive problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the end-to-end implementation of product requirements, from the initial task breakdown and design phase through to testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Write clean, high-quality code and create simple, elegant designs that serve as a foundation for the rest of the engineering team to build upon.
- Partner closely with our product and design teams to translate complex feature specifications into intuitive, functional user experiences.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of professional engineering experience, with a proven track record of technical leadership, ideally within a startup environment.
- Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.
- Demonstrated experience in building, launching, and maintaining consumer-facing products at scale.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for crafting beautiful, user-centric interfaces.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions.
- A resilient mindset and the adaptability to thrive in an early-stage company where you will often navigate the unknown.
Location
This role is remote and open to candidates located anywhere. While we support a distributed team, we have a growing hub in New York City and prioritize candidates who can contribute to building our presence there.
