What you bring
As a Staff Engineer, you will take on an executive-level role within our fast-paced startup, acting as a primary driver for our architectural strategy and team mentorship. This is a full-time, hybrid position available to candidates anywhere. Your daily focus will involve working with Ruby on Rails, AWS Infrastructure, Terraform, DevOps, and APIs to build robust integrations with HR Tech platforms. You will be responsible for:
- Leading the architectural design of scalable systems while ensuring our performance standards remain high.
- Mentoring fellow engineers to foster a culture of growth and technical excellence.
- Managing and optimizing complex data pipelines to ensure efficient communication between our systems and external HR platforms.
Requirements
We are looking for a seasoned professional with over 7 years of experience in complex application development, ideally within a startup environment. You should possess deep expertise in Ruby on Rails, AWS, and Terraform, along with a strong grasp of DevOps principles. A successful candidate will be comfortable designing APIs, managing CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining security standards like SOC2 and GDPR. You must be fluent in English and capable of balancing high-level technical leadership with hands-on troubleshooting, including participation in an on-call rotation. We value individuals who are proactive, security-conscious, and eager to drive projects from the ground up.
