We are looking for a Staff Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. In this high-agency role, you will define our technical strategy, build scalable data infrastructure, and influence the architecture of our systems as we help organizations navigate the future of software development.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the long-term architecture for our data pipelines and integration platforms, ensuring they remain reliable and scalable as we grow.
- Own our infrastructure as code strategy using Terraform and lead the evolution of our cloud data infrastructure.
- Act as a technical anchor for the organization by leading design reviews, mentoring fellow engineers, and partnering with leadership to prioritize our technical roadmap.
Requirements
- Extensive experience building and scaling complex, end-to-end data infrastructure in a production environment.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and a proven ability to design maintainable, large-scale systems.
- Deep knowledge of workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
- Strong background in managing third-party API integrations and utilizing infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Experience with AI and LLM tool integrations and an understanding of the unique infrastructure demands they present.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be located in the EST or CST time zone and authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
