We are looking for a talented Staff Backend Software Engineer to help shape the future of our platform. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in designing robust architectures and influencing how we build our products. We operate as a fully remote organization, and we are searching for someone who thrives on solving complex problems and delivering high-impact technical solutions.
What you'll be doing
- You will lead one or two major projects, managing a small team of three to five engineers to ensure tasks are clearly defined and delivered on schedule.
- You will take ownership of architectural design, focusing on building systems that are highly scalable, reliable, and provide genuine value to our users.
- You will actively contribute to our daily development efforts and perform code reviews to maintain the high standards of our codebase.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should have at least six years of professional software engineering experience and currently reside in Europe. We value clear, logical communication in English and a strong ability to balance technical excellence with business requirements.
Your technical background should include:
- Languages: Proficiency in Rust, Python, or JVM-based languages like Java, Spring, Scala, and Kotlin.
- Data and Infrastructure: Experience working with ClickHouse, Kafka, Redis, MySQL, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
- Distributed Systems: A deep understanding of real-time data processing, data consistency, and performance optimization.
- Communication Tools: Familiarity with gRPC, Protobufs, and Swagger.
- Leadership: A proven track record of guiding small engineering teams through complex project lifecycles.
