Staff Backend Lead at Chiru Labs

As a Staff Backend Lead, you will join a team of experts with deep backgrounds in big tech, mobile gaming, and web3 to build the decentralized intellectual properties of tomorrow. We are looking for someone who is ready to dive into a hands-on role, where you will shape our system architecture while directly implementing the features that bring our vision to life.

What you'll be doing

• Design and maintain secure, scalable backend services that prioritize performance and regulatory compliance.
• Create seamless onboarding and offboarding flows, including KYC integrations and payment processing, to provide a low-friction user experience.
• Engineer robust connections for financial services, such as stablecoin issuance, custody, and yield generation mechanisms.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have at least five years of backend engineering experience, with at least two of those years spent in a senior or staff-level capacity. We are looking for someone who is fluent in English and possesses the following qualifications:

• A proven track record of shipping products within fintech, crypto, or other high-security industries.
• Deep expertise in building distributed systems and integrating complex financial APIs or web3 protocols.
• A strong grasp of security best practices, performance optimization, and compliance requirements.
• The ability to work autonomously with a strong bias for action, effectively unblocking challenges to keep projects moving forward.
• Experience collaborating across the stack, including occasional work on frontend or iOS network layers to ensure everything functions as intended.

What you'll get
