What you bring
We are seeking a Senior Staff Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our backend systems, ensuring that our logistics and member services operate at peak performance. This role is based in the United States, specifically requiring you to work from our office in Dumbo at least three days a week. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Taking full ownership of large-scale technical projects, guiding them from initial planning and prototyping through to testing and final deployment.
- Collaborating closely with our product and cross-functional teams to refine our core domain models and drive business impact.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer with at least six years of production coding experience, particularly with TypeScript. You should be comfortable working with functional programming concepts and have a deep understanding of GraphQL schema design. We value engineers who care about data modeling and API design, and who appreciate the relationship between backend architecture and frontend implementation using tools like React. Beyond technical skills, you should be a fast learner who thrives in a collaborative environment, possesses a strong work ethic, and is genuinely motivated by our mission to build a more sustainable future.

- Equity compensation to ensure you share in our success.
- A hybrid work model that balances collaboration with flexibility.
- Flexible hours to help you manage your time effectively.
- Dedicated support for your professional development.
