The opportunity
We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join us on a contract basis. This role is central to our mission of maintaining high-performance services. You will be instrumental in managing our transition to modern cloud environments and ensuring our monitoring and logging frameworks are top-tier. By joining us, you will play a key role in shaping our technical roadmap and helping us eliminate single points of failure across our architecture.
A day in the life
- You will spend your time writing and maintaining high-quality unit, integration, and acceptance tests to ensure our code remains stable and reliable.
- You will lead efforts to modernize our infrastructure, including migrating our OS packages from yinst to RPM and transitioning our logging workflows to Splunk Cloud.
- You will act as a mentor to our IC3-level engineers, sharing your deep technical knowledge to help them grow and improve the overall resiliency of our systems.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer with at least eight years of professional experience. You are comfortable working in a remote setting and communicating effectively in English. Your technical toolkit includes:
- Advanced proficiency in Python 3.11+ and PHP 8.4.x.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud platforms.
- Deep familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Chronosphere.
- Experience managing RHEL environments, specifically regarding transitions from version 7 to EL8 or 9.
- It is a bonus if you have worked with NetAuto services such as Sandy, Panoptes, or Libra.
