Role at a glance

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates located anywhere. You will report directly to our Director of Software Engineering and play a key role in designing and delivering new platform features.

Your impact

• Innovate on our platform: You will design and build unique features, such as custom query planners, distributed ingest pipelines, and specialized ETL libraries, to keep our product ahead of the market.
• Ensure product excellence: You will maintain a high-quality user experience by proactively diagnosing and resolving complex distributed system issues in our production environments.
• Drive quality through automation: You will champion reliability by planning ahead and writing robust unit and integration tests for every feature you develop.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of experience building scalable software products.
• Strong expertise in backend development, with some exposure to JavaScript for UI tasks.
• A solid foundation in computer science, supported by a degree or equivalent practical knowledge.
• Applied experience with Python and a deep understanding of highly concurrent, distributed systems.
• A proven ability to optimize system performance and manage resources effectively.
• A background or strong interest in analytics, including data collection, visualization, and exploration.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a self-motivated, collaborative mindset.
