The team

The Resolve team falls under the Engineering umbrella. Our team plays a pivotal role in redefining how customer claims are received, assessed, and resolved. We're dedicated to developing innovative solutions that streamline the claim filing process, automate the approval and resolution of claims to create customer experiences worth remembering, enhance fraud detection capabilities to protect Route, our customers, and merchants, and empower our customer support representatives to deliver exceptional service.

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack developer to help us take our systems to the next level.

As part of the team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects aimed at enhancing our customer claim filing processes, enabling our sales team to target any market opportunity, strengthening fraud detection algorithms, driving savings for the bottom line by automating customer claims, and developing intuitive tools for our customer support representatives. From designing intuitive user interfaces for claim submission to implementing sophisticated algorithms for fraud detection, your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our entire claim process. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation, ensuring that our systems remain robust, scalable, and resilient.

What you’ll do

• Designing and implementing user interfaces for the claims filing portal, ensuring usability and responsiveness across devices.
• Collaborating with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
• Integrating front-end components with back-end services and APIs to enable seamless data exchange.
• Developing user-friendly and efficient tools and interfaces to streamline customer support workflows, such as ticket management systems and knowledge bases.
• Creating dashboard interfaces and data visualization components for merchants to monitor their claims, transactions, and other relevant metrics.
• Designing and developing robust backend systems to support claim filing, assessment automation, fraud detection, and third-party integrations.
• Implementing algorithms and strategies to detect suspicious activities and potential instances of fraud.
• Integrating with external systems and APIs to enable functionalities such as payment processing, identity verification, and communication with external partners.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to align on project requirements and priorities.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience working as a full-stack developer, with a strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Extensive experience building complex web applications using React (preferred), Vue.js, or Angular, including expertise in component-based architecture and single-page application (SPA) development.
• Proven experience with state management solutions such as Redux, MobX, or similar libraries/frameworks.
• Familiarity with CSS-in-JS libraries like Styled Components or utility-first CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and experience developing applications using object-oriented programming languages such as Go (preferred), JavaScript, Python, or Java.
• Experience working with cloud technologies, particularly AWS services such as SQS (Simple Queue Service), DynamoDB, and Fargate.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and practices, such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Strong experience with RESTful API development and consumption, including designing, implementing, and consuming APIs for seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.
• Proficiency in unit testing frameworks such as Jest, Enzyme, or React Testing Library for writing and executing automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools for monitoring and analyzing system performance, resource utilization, and application metrics.

Pay Transparency

Salary for this role: $150,000 - $165,000

The cash compensation above includes base salary, and is not reflective of potential commission for employees in eligible roles, or annual bonus targets under Route’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all Route employees are eligible to participate in Routes equity incentive plan to receive stock options per the terms of the agreement. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their career level, skills, experience, specific geographic location qualifications and other job-related reasons.
