About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this position, you will serve as a key member of our Enterprise IT Infrastructure group, helping to design, maintain, and modernize the high-speed communication networks that connect our various departments and defense entities. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to refine their networking expertise while contributing to high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points from Cisco and Fortinet.
- Design, document, and test network integrations within our LAN/WAN environment to ensure high availability and performance.
- Conduct routine maintenance, patching, and vulnerability remediation while ensuring all systems meet strict INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in network administration, implementation, and design.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP and Microsoft networking concepts.
- Proficiency with Cisco and Fortinet network hardware.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field like Computer Science or Engineering is preferred, though equivalent experience and certifications are welcome.
- The ability to obtain a security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- A willingness to travel occasionally and the flexibility to support off-hours service restoration efforts when needed.
