What is this role?

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager of Scientific Computing to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This is a senior-level leadership position where you will guide our global scientific computing initiatives. You will be responsible for enhancing our capabilities in MLOps, bioinformatics, and pipeline management, ensuring our technology infrastructure effectively supports our research goals.

What will you do?

• Lead and mentor a team of scientific computing professionals while developing strategies to meet the computational needs of our global research efforts.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of machine learning models to ensure they remain robust, scalable, and efficient.
• Manage and optimize data processing pipelines, cloud computing resources, and big data technologies to support large-scale scientific research.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in computational science and a passion for advancing research through technology. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field, with a PhD considered a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in scientific computing, specifically focusing on MLOps and bioinformatics.
• Proven experience in managing and leading technical teams.
• Strong proficiency in data processing pipelines, cloud computing, and big data technologies.
• Familiarity with machine learning tools and frameworks.
• Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.
