We're looking for an experienced testing professional to join our team on a contract basis and help ensure the quality of our software products from anywhere.
What is this role?
This is a senior-level contractor position focused on software quality assurance. The role is fully remote and involves working closely with development teams to maintain high standards across our technology projects.
What will you do?
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure proper test coverage, configuration quality, and effective logging and monitoring practices.
- Develop and implement QA standards, processes, tools, and methodologies while partnering with other teams to establish testing requirements for microservices.
- Document functional and integration test strategies, translate complex system requirements into test plans, and identify opportunities for complex automation efforts.
What makes you a great fit?
You bring at least five years of hands-on experience in unit, functional, and integration testing. You have built and used automation frameworks with Java and JUnit or JBehave, and you have tested across microservices, event-driven applications, and databases. You can create strong acceptance and integration test automation scripts, integrate them with Jenkins and code coverage tools, and work comfortably in an Agile environment. Experience testing protocols such as SFTP, sockets, HTTPS, and RPC is important, as is the ability to work with developers to design systems for reliability, performance, and testability. Strong communication skills in English are required. Preferred qualifications include application development experience in Java, security testing experience, hands-on work with Groovy or JavaScript, exposure to chaos testing, and familiarity with software engineering principles.
What's in it for you?
You will enjoy the flexibility of fully remote work.
