Sr. JAVA Developer at Copper River Family of Companies

Coho Technology Solutions is looking for a Sr. JAVA Developer to join our team in support of the Census Field Application Services contract. You will play a vital role in designing, building, and maintaining complex Java applications while providing technical leadership and following Agile methodologies in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systems analysis, design, and software development.
• Maintain a deep understanding of modern web technologies and architectural standards.
• Create and implement secure code for large-scale software applications.
• Perform rigorous testing and manage ongoing application maintenance.
• Apply Software Configuration Management best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Execute iterative code development and troubleshoot production issues.
• Guide fellow developers by identifying and presenting effective technical solutions.

Must-haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Five to ten years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
• Hands-on experience with Spring MVC, Hibernate, and Oracle databases.
• Technical expertise in JDBC, JSP, Java Servlets, XML, XSLT, and PL/SQL.
• Strong background in J2EE, EJB3, and MVC architecture patterns.
• Experience with web services, API development, and Unix operating systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced knowledge of the Java Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE).
• Experience using Apache Struts 2 to implement model-view-controller architecture.
• Proven track record in developing and integrating web services and APIs.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Unix-based operating systems.
