Sr. DevSecOps Engineer at EquityZen

Our team is backed by top venture and private equity investors, and we are looking for a diligent, collaborative Senior DevSecOps Engineer to help us strengthen the infrastructure and security of our industry-defining platform.

The opportunity

This role is a vital part of our engineering team. You will be responsible for building out and refining the underlying architecture that powers our SaaS investment platform. By focusing on both robust infrastructure and a security-first mindset, you will ensure our systems remain resilient as we continue to scale. You will work closely with our engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to turn high-level needs into scalable, secure solutions.

A day in the life

• You will manage and deploy applications within our AWS and Kubernetes environments while maintaining our CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure tooling.
• You will proactively implement security measures, such as encryption and access controls, while leading the response to security incidents.
• You will collaborate with our development team to integrate security best practices into every phase of the software development lifecycle.

Who you are

You are a seasoned professional with at least five years of experience supporting cloud-based application deployments. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accountability is key, and you have a knack for breaking down complex requests into manageable tasks. Your technical toolkit includes:

• Proficiency in Golang and Python.
• Deep experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Strong familiarity with CI/CD tools like CircleCI or Jenkins.
• A solid grasp of security protocols, authentication, and authorization.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with a strong focus on customer service.
