The opportunity
We are looking for a Sr. Controls System Engineer to join our mission on a full-time basis. You will play a vital role in the design, programming, and implementation of our distributed control and data acquisition systems. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys the intersection of software and hardware, as you will be responsible for ensuring our systems operate with the highest level of reliability and safety. You will be a key contributor to our product lifecycle, helping us refine our technology from the initial concept all the way through to deployment.
A day in the life
- You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and maintain the control systems that power our advanced therapy technology.
- You will travel to installation sites, representing our team during system deployment, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- You will create and refine software engineering tools and test procedures to streamline our workflow and ensure every component meets our rigorous standards.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer with at least four years of experience in embedded control system design and advanced LabVIEW programming. You have a deep understanding of National Instruments hardware and software, including PXI, RIO, and FPGA architectures. You are comfortable working in English and bring a strong background in electrical principles, particularly regarding high-voltage environments. Your technical toolkit includes proficiency in SQL, experience with JIRA for project tracking, and a familiarity with C or C++ programming. You are a problem solver who values modular, reusable code and is willing to travel domestically and internationally about 20 percent of the time to support our systems in the field.
