We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. Our company specializes in delivering mission-critical software solutions, and we rely on a robust technical stack that includes Docker, Nginx, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript with VueJS, Redis, and COBOL. You will play a vital role in our product team by managing and developing containerized web applications built with Laravel, while also bridging the gap to our legacy back-office systems running on IBM iSeries hardware.
Responsibilities
- Lead a dedicated team of software engineers while overseeing the development of new features and the maintenance of our existing codebase.
- Translate complex technical challenges into clear, actionable plans and functional specifications for our stakeholders.
- Evaluate and recommend new processes or tools to enhance our overall system security and operational efficiency.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in software architecture and a proven ability to bring critical applications to production. We value candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Extensive experience working with PHP and the Laravel framework.
- Proficiency in modern web technologies including Docker, Nginx, MySQL, Redis, and VueJS.
- A solid understanding of COBOL and legacy systems, specifically those operating on an IBM iSeries (AS400) environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain intricate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders across the company.
