We are looking for a Solar Project Development Engineer Manager to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. At Pivot Energy, we are a national renewable energy provider dedicated to decarbonizing the power grid through the development, financing, and management of solar and energy storage projects. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small team of development engineers, providing training and conducting peer reviews of their technical deliverables.
- Design community and utility-scale solar PV and storage systems, ranging from 1MWac to 10MWac, by utilizing tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and PVCase.
- Manage project documentation, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and interpret utility and regulatory requirements to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements
- A four-year engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university with a focus on electrical, mechanical, or energy systems.
- At least 5 years of professional experience working with community and utility-scale solar PV projects.
- Strong operational knowledge of AutoCAD, PVsyst, and relevant building codes like the National Electric Code.
- A proven ability to evaluate site diligence documents, including geotechnical reports and environmental assessments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Preferred qualifications include 1 to 2 years of people management experience, an E.I.T. certification, a PE license, or a NABCEP certification.
