Welcome to the National Information Solutions Cooperative, where we pride ourselves on being a leader in the IT industry. We develop and support essential hardware and software solutions for utility and telecommunications cooperatives across the country. Our work powers everything from consumer billing and accounting to complex engineering and operations. We are looking for a dedicated Software Requirements Specialist to join our team in the United States and help us shape the future of our iVUE software applications.
What you'll be doing
- You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution by collaborating closely with our software developers, system engineers, and product managers.
- You will take ownership of project use cases, which includes eliciting, researching, and validating complex requirements to ensure our solutions meet the needs of our members.
- You will act as a leader within the development lifecycle by coordinating with subject matter experts, facilitating stakeholder interviews, and championing best practices for requirements management.
What you'll bring
We are looking for someone who has a strong background in software development and project management. To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:
- At least five years of relevant experience, ideally backed by a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced knowledge of requirements gathering, project management methodologies, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A high level of initiative and the ability to mentor team members, while remaining committed to our core values of integrity, innovation, and teamwork.
- Fluency in English to effectively manage relationships and documentation.
- A willingness to travel as needed to support our project goals and member interactions.
What you'll get
Joining our team means becoming part of an organization that values personal development and the free exchange of knowledge. While we do not have specific salary figures to share at this time, we offer a collaborative environment where you are empowered to make a difference. You will have the opportunity to work on leading-edge IT solutions while being supported by a team that prioritizes lasting relationships and the cooperative spirit.
