Are you ready to join a team that is fundamentally changing how frontline workers communicate? At Relay, we are a Raleigh-based startup building a cloud platform that makes work faster, safer, and more efficient. We have disrupted the handheld radio industry by creating a rugged, internet-enabled smart device paired with powerful software. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Software QA Developer to join our engineering team and help us maintain the high standards our B2B clients rely on every day.
What you bring
In this full-time, junior-level role, you will be based at our headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina. You will work in a hybrid capacity, joining your colleagues in the office three days a week to foster the collaboration that drives our success. Your primary focus will be ensuring the quality of our products and improving the user experience for our customers. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Verifying new and existing features across the Relay App and our web-based dashboard.
- Conducting end-to-end testing that covers both our hardware devices and server-side components.
- Collaborating with the development team to analyze, document, and confirm the resolution of any defects found during testing.
Requirements
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and grow within our engineering department. You should possess an associate degree or equivalent experience, along with one to three years of testing experience in environments such as Android, iOS, or web-based platforms. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication. You should be comfortable working in a Linux environment and have the ability to develop and debug automated test scripts, with experience in Python being a significant advantage. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who understands Agile methodologies and is comfortable using tools like the Android Debug Bridge for device logging.
What we offer
We believe in empowering our team members to do the best work of their lives, a philosophy we call BWIML. We provide a supportive environment that prioritizes your health, your family, and your future. Our benefits package includes:
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents.
- A 401k savings plan with a company match.
- Generous paid time off.
- Wellness programs to support your overall well-being.
- Access to the latest technology and a modern office environment.
