As a Software Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in our success by guiding the development and solutioning of complex projects. You will serve as a technical mentor, providing the advice and support necessary to ensure our high-quality products are delivered on schedule. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about growing our team's technical capabilities while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Key outcomes
- Lead technical discussions and provide mentorship for engineering projects within your team.
- Assist with interviewing, resource allocation planning, and ongoing team development.
- Identify technical gaps and suggest effective solutions to improve our platform and processes.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to plan, execute, and deliver software projects on time.
- Work closely with stakeholders and customers to establish clear project goals and timelines.
- Design and implement robust software solutions that support the core TealBook platform.
- Continuously evaluate and refine our development processes to increase efficiency and quality.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure the successful delivery of software initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in front-end and full-stack software development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and CSS, along with experience managing web servers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and solve problems in ambiguous situations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with React, GCP, load balancers, and Kubernetes (K8).
- At least 2 years of experience in a project leadership role.
