We are 86 Repairs, a technology company dedicated to modernizing the restaurant industry by solving the persistent challenge of equipment repairs and maintenance. Since 2019, we have provided a platform that combines on-demand support with preventative maintenance, helping restaurants lower costs and gain valuable data insights. We are currently seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who wants to evolve our business intelligence reporting, support our stakeholders, and help us build a robust quality assurance program.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our Head of Product and engineering team to design and implement technical solutions that leverage our powerful datasets.
- Develop and maintain business intelligence reporting while assisting in the creation of a new QA program across our platform.
- Translate feedback from internal and external end users into fully developed, functional results.
Requirements
- Possess 1 to 3 years of experience in software engineering and quality assurance.
- Demonstrate a firm grasp of JavaScript and TypeScript, alongside strong SQL skills.
- Show familiarity with modern web technologies, specifically Node.js for the backend, Vue.js for the frontend, and AWS for deployment.
- Bring experience working within Agile, cross-functional teams and a passion for pragmatic software design.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly when communicating with non-technical colleagues.
