The role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Platform team on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the infrastructure, data, and messaging services that power our entire platform. You will work on complex, large-scale systems, ensuring they remain reliable and performant as we scale to meet the needs of our global customer base.
Core responsibilities
- Design and implement self-healing, immutable infrastructure that is resilient across multiple regions and availability zones.
- Develop automated solutions for deployment and monitoring, including the integration of bot tools with platforms like Slack to streamline our internal workflows.
- Participate in our on-call rotation to provide incident response and ensure our systems maintain high availability for our customers.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years of professional experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering. We are looking for someone who values infrastructure as code and brings a deep understanding of large-scale distributed systems.
- Expertise in programming with Java or Python.
- Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
- Strong proficiency with Terraform for provisioning and automation.
- Deep knowledge of container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with messaging and data tools such as Kafka and Spark.
