Software Engineer at Midstream

The opportunity

We are looking for a mid-level Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. You will play a vital role in shaping the architecture of our integrated SaaS platform. This is a unique chance to take ownership of critical components, ranging from our core infrastructure to the user-facing features that make our data accessible. You will be based in the United States and work in a hybrid capacity, balancing collaborative time with the focus required to build high-performance systems.

A day in the life

• You will design and build robust APIs and data models that support both shared and customer-specific datasets while ensuring our multi-tenant SaaS platform remains fast and secure.
• You will develop and deploy novel machine learning solutions to extract value from complex healthcare data, helping us push the boundaries of what our platform can achieve.
• You will implement essential security and compliance measures, such as role-based access control and encryption, to ensure we meet rigorous standards like HIPAA and SOC 2.

Who you are

You are an engineer with 3 to 7 years of professional experience who thrives when tackling complex technical problems. You have a strong background in building scalable SaaS products and feel comfortable working across the full stack. We value candidates who possess the following:

• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript for building high-quality software.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically GCP or AWS, and a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• A deep understanding of API design, multi-tenancy, and RBAC implementation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a cross-functional team.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluency in English.
