We are Aleph, an AI-native platform transforming the world of financial planning and analysis. Our mission is to help finance teams move past the frustration of scattered data and manual spreadsheets, allowing them to focus on making impactful business decisions. Founded by technical leaders from Stanford and MIT with experience at companies like Google and Microsoft, we are backed by top-tier investors and serve high-growth customers including Notion, Webflow, and Zapier. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote team across the Americas.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale end-to-end production systems for our complex B2B financial platform.
- Take full ownership of features, guiding them from initial concept through launch and ongoing iteration.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify core challenges and drive effective technical solutions.
- Develop shared abstractions that simplify complex product experiences for our users.
- Maintain a high engineering standard by writing clean code, providing thoughtful peer reviews, and communicating clearly.
Must-haves
- Deep understanding of full-stack engineering, with the ability to trace requests from the UI down to the data store.
- A high-agency, builder's mindset, ideally with previous experience as a founder or engineering lead.
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, prioritizing the simplest and most effective tools for the job.
- A strong commitment to craftsmanship, producing bug-free and maintainable code.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven experience building complex B2B products, preferably from the ground up.
- Proficiency in our core stack, including TypeScript, Python, React, and Node.js.
- Experience working with GCP, BigQuery, MongoDB, and Postgres.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions for deployment and Datadog for observability.
- Fluency in English.
