At Pylon, we are a small, focused team tackling one of the most complex challenges in the American economy. The mortgage industry is a thirteen trillion dollar sector that currently relies on fragmented, manual workflows and outdated software. We are changing that by building the first API-first, programmatic infrastructure designed to fully automate credit, compliance, and operations. Our team, which includes veterans from companies like Stripe, Better, and Affirm, is backed by prominent investors such as QED, Citi, and Peter Thiel. We are looking for ambitious engineers who want to help us rewire the mortgage industry from the ground up.

The opportunity

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis at our on-site location in the United States. This is a unique opportunity for a student or recent graduate to step into a high-impact role where you will help design and build sophisticated infrastructure. We are not just assembling components, we are solving deep technical problems from first principles. You will have the chance to work across our entire stack, influence our architectural decisions, and contribute to a product that is fundamentally changing how mortgage businesses scale.

A day in the life

• You will write high-quality, maintainable code using TypeScript, NestJS, and GraphQL to build robust features for our platform.
• You will engage in vigorous technical discussions with the team, defending your architectural choices while remaining open to feedback and new perspectives.
• You will manage infrastructure and deployment tasks using AWS and PostgreSQL, ensuring that our systems remain reliable and efficient as we scale.
