The role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Document Experience team on a full-time basis. This role is fully remote and open to candidates based in France. You will work within a collaborative group of five engineers, one QA specialist, and one product manager to optimize and secure our document workflows. This position is perfect for an experienced developer who wants to work on high-impact solutions that directly improve the daily lives of healthcare providers.

Core responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable features while ensuring the stability of our existing codebase.
• Mentor junior developers, lead technical discussions, and drive improvements in our engineering practices and architecture.
• Provide operational support for production applications and maintain high code quality through rigorous testing and active participation in code reviews.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong technical background with at least four years of experience delivering robust solutions. We value a pragmatic approach where you prioritize simple, tested, and high-value code over over-engineering. Your qualifications should include:

• Proven professional experience working with Ruby on Rails and React.
• Familiarity with Sidekiq and PostgreSQL.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and French.
• A collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in coaching others and sharing knowledge.
• Prior experience in the healthcare sector is considered a significant asset.
