The role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis in the United States. This mid-level position reports directly to our Senior Software Engineer. You will play a vital role in building the web and mobile features that allow us to connect with our members and scale our impact. We are looking for someone who is eager to grow, values consumer-focused product development, and shares our vision for accessible, personalized fitness for every aging adult.

Core responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web and mobile features that drive meaningful engagement with our members.
• Collaborate across Product and Engineering teams to deliver high-impact initiatives, including personalized consumer programs.
• Improve our platform architecture to ensure scalability and reliability while keeping the needs of our older demographic at the forefront of every technical decision.

Skills and experience

• At least 2 years of professional experience building modern web applications.
• Proficiency with Node, JavaScript (ES6+), and React.
• A growth mindset with a strong interest in building consumer-facing products.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions to various stakeholders.
• Deep empathy for the challenges faced by older adults and a desire to use those insights to shape our product roadmap.
• Bonus points for experience in fast-paced startup environments or working with sensitive healthcare data like HIPAA.

Compensation and benefits

We believe in equitable compensation and offer a base salary range of $120,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on your relevant experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive meaningful equity in the form of a stock option grant.
