What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position based in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the next version of Vault, our cloud-based digital asset management system. As we move into an enterprise scalability phase, you will help us expand our event-driven architecture and build out new AI capabilities, including facial and object recognition.

What will you do?

• Develop new features and functionality while maintaining and troubleshooting our cloud services and applications.
• Manage the software deployment and testing processes to ensure our deliverables remain high-quality and timely.
• Participate in regular code reviews to ensure our software is well-designed, scalable, and secure against potential threats.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should be proficient in English and hold a degree in a relevant field like computer science or software engineering, or possess at least two years of hands-on experience with Java. We are looking for someone with the following skills and technical background:

• Strong programming expertise in Java and JavaScript.
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Vue.js, and React.js.
• Cloud development experience, specifically with AWS.
• Familiarity with MySQL databases and database management.
• Understanding of JSON and RESTful API development.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles, including Agile and DevOps practices.
