What is this role?

We are looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our Platform team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position, and we are looking for someone who can commute to our New York office two days each week. You will play a vital role in our engineering culture, which emphasizes product empathy, high feature ownership, and autonomous teams. If you have at least two years of experience maintaining web applications and are excited about building tools that make home buying frictionless, we would love to meet you.

What will you do?

• Develop and deploy internal tools for our real estate agents and transaction coordinators using a tech stack that includes React, Node, and Python.
• Design and architect scalable solutions alongside stakeholders to ensure our platform is ready for national growth and a rapidly expanding user base.
• Maintain critical API integrations and data pipelines while participating in an on-call rotation to help improve our monitoring and debugging processes.

You are a collaborative engineer who enjoys solving complex business problems through thoughtful design and clean code. To be successful in this role, you should have:

• At least 2 years of professional experience working on a software engineering team.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with Node or Python.
• Experience planning, building, and deploying code regularly within a CI/CD environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a low-ego approach to teamwork.
• Familiarity with AWS, React, and database technologies is considered a significant plus.
• Fluency in English to effectively collaborate with our cross-functional teams.
