About the Role
We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. As an early member of our engineering organization, you will play a critical role in designing and building our capital markets infrastructure from the ground up. You will have the opportunity to shape the trajectory of our Series A startup while architecting systems that help fintech companies manage billions of dollars. We value autonomy and are looking for individuals who are as passionate about building a lasting company as they are about developing high-quality, industry-changing software.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and scale the primary platform that facilitates relationships between lenders and borrowers in the debt capital markets.
- Collaborate with the broader team to design, manage, and test new features while becoming an expert in API design, data engineering, and information security within a regulated environment.
- Contribute to the growth of our engineering culture by mentoring new team members, participating in the interview process, and documenting standard operating procedures.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who thrive in a 0 to 1 environment and possess the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of professional experience building web applications with the ability to scope and ship products independently.
- A strong preference for delivering outcomes and choosing the right tools for the job, with proficiency in our core stack including NodeJS, React, GraphQL, and AWS.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across business, design, and product functions.
- Experience in systems thinking, specifically regarding the design of complex platforms that serve multiple stakeholders like banks, lenders, and borrowers.
- A commitment to team building and a desire to help recruit and mentor future engineers.
Location
This position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere.
