At Modo Energy, we are creating the global benchmark for valuing and understanding electrification assets. Our work helps unlock vital returns for battery energy storage, solar, wind, and data center projects. We are currently looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis in the United Kingdom. You will be a key contributor to our data and infrastructure team, where you will help us build scalable, reliable systems that support the transition to greener energy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain core business functionality while contributing to the expansion of our global architecture.
- Build, manage, and optimize data pipelines using Airflow and maintain our diverse tech stack, including Python, Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Kafka.
- Improve our infrastructure through Terraform automation and provide essential support by monitoring services to ensure high performance.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong technical proficiency in Python and confidence working within Linux environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving setting.
- Candidates must already possess the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
