VGS stands as the global leader in payment tokenization. We help large banks, ambitious fintech startups, and growing merchants manage the complexities of payment data by embedding our universal token vault into their technology stacks. By tokenizing sensitive information, we allow our clients to limit their compliance scope and unlock new business opportunities across payment networks, card issuance, and open banking. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Payments Acceptance team and help us build the future of secure payment infrastructure.
What is this role?
This is a full-time, remote position for a Senior level engineer. You will play a vital role in managing the lifecycle of payment cards by designing, developing, and maintaining our Card Management Platform. We are looking for someone who is ready to take ownership of complex technical challenges and collaborate closely with our cross-functional teams to optimize our platform.
What will you do?
- Take full ownership of the software lifecycle, including designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and supporting production services.
- Uphold our high standards for code quality by utilizing rigorous testing, automation, and collaborative code reviews.
- Actively contribute your own ideas and feedback to help us innovate and build a world-class product.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should be a detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment. We value resilience, versatility, and a customer-focused mindset. Your background should include:
- At least 8 years of hands-on software development experience, ideally within a SaaS company.
- Deep experience in software architecture and development within a cloud-native environment, specifically with AWS and Kubernetes.
- Strong proficiency in Java, the Spring Framework, and Python.
- Practical knowledge of microservices, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, Docker, and Kafka.
- Experience with observability tools like Grafana and Open Telemetry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
What's in it for you?
We believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and supporting our team members both personally and professionally. Benefits include:
- Flexible working hours and paid time off.
- Comprehensive medical, life, and disability insurance.
- Stock options to give you a stake in our success.
- A 401k plan with employer matching.
- Access to an employee assistance program.
- A dedicated home office budget and professional development reimbursement.
