At Everclear, we are solving the complex problem of liquidity fragmentation for modular blockchains by coordinating global settlement between chains. With over 2.5 billion dollars in cumulative transaction volume and backing from industry leaders like the Ethereum Foundation and Polychain Capital, we are looking for a talented individual to join our mission of enabling true end-to-end chain abstraction.

What you bring

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join us on a contractor basis. You will work remotely from anywhere in the world, utilizing your expertise in TypeScript, Ops, Ethereum, Solidity, and Rust to push our technology forward. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing key improvements to our codebase to enhance protocol reliability and product quality.
• Taking full ownership of our existing stack, with a specific focus on maintaining and improving our off-chain infrastructure.
• Supporting system-wide monitoring and alerting to ensure our infrastructure remains robust and highly available.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have at least five years of experience building and maintaining full-stack production systems at scale. We value candidates who possess strong DevOps expertise, including experience with AWS, Terraform, and GitHub CI/CD. You should be comfortable working with Ethereum development tools like Foundry and Ethers. Because we are a globally distributed team, clear communication in English is essential. We are looking for a self-starter who is crypto-native, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable navigating deep technical stacks to solve problems from start to finish. A willingness to commit to an initial three-month contract is required, with the potential for a long-term partnership thereafter.
