We are on a mission to bridge the gap between modern technology and the public sector. As one of the top ten Govtech startups in Europe, we are dedicated to solving the complex challenge of modernizing administration. Our team is currently scaling rapidly, having seen our user base grow tenfold in just one year, and we are looking for passionate individuals to help us build the tools that empower cities and local governments to operate more effectively.
The role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our full-time, hybrid team in France. You will be an integral part of our engineering department, which consists of about twenty professionals organized into development, product, and data squads. This is an ideal position for someone with over three years of experience who is eager to tackle complex technical problems while contributing to a meaningful public interest mission.
Core responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality features across our product suite to support our ongoing growth.
- Collaborate closely with our product managers and project leads to iterate on the user experience and ensure our platform remains intuitive.
- Strengthen our data extraction systems and platform scalability while ensuring robust security to protect the sensitive information of local communities.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable working in a fullstack capacity and possess the following qualifications:
- More than 3 years of professional experience working with Python and modern frontend frameworks like React, VueJs, or Angular.
- Familiarity with our core tech stack, including Flask, TypeScript, Docker, PostgreSQL, and Linux server environments.
- A strong commitment to engineering best practices, such as continuous delivery, code reviews, and pair programming.
- Fluency in French.
Compensation and benefits
We believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally. Beyond a competitive salary and opportunities for rapid career growth, we offer the following perks:
- Flexible work arrangements, including the choice between full-remote work or our office space in France.
- Comprehensive health coverage with 100% of your Alan mutuelle insurance paid by us.
- A daily meal allowance of 9.50 EUR via a Swile card, with 60% covered by the company.
- A sustainable mobility package of 510 EUR per year, plus 50% reimbursement for public transportation or cycling expenses.
- Professional development support, including a 1,200 EUR annual training budget and 150 EUR per year for books.
- Access to a Gymlib subscription and a structured internal mentorship program.
How to apply
If you are excited about modernizing the public sector and want to work in a transparent, high-growth environment, we would love to hear from you. Our recruitment process typically lasts three weeks and includes an initial HR conversation, a technical discussion with our CTO, a practical coding exercise, and a team fit interview. We encourage you to reach out and start the conversation about how you can help us shape the future of local government technology.
