At Linera, we are building the first blockchain specifically designed for real-time applications and internet-scale interoperability. Our platform introduces the concept of microchains, which are lightweight and parallel chains that facilitate direct user interaction. Founded by a former research engineer from Meta and Novi, we are supported by leading crypto investors and are currently live on our testnet as we prepare for our mainnet launch. The role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a high-impact position where you will play a vital role in developing our core blockchain infrastructure. As an experienced engineer, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of significant technical projects and help shape the future of blockchain scalability.

Core responsibilities

• Write high-quality, secure, and efficient code using Rust to support our blockchain infrastructure.
• Design and contribute to the architecture of complex distributed systems and blockchain protocols.
• Ensure the robustness of our platform by implementing thorough automated testing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience with a history of delivering high-quality results.
• Strong proficiency in Rust and a solid background in blockchain and Web3 technologies.
• A proven ability to tackle complex, open-ended technical challenges.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and cryptography is highly valued.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative environments.
