You will join Aquatic, a quantitative trading and investment firm founded by Jon Graham, who previously spent more than thirteen years at Citadel as Partner and Senior Managing Director, most recently leading Global Quantitative Strategies. Aquatic builds systematic investment strategies on a modern research and development platform, and the firm is assembling a collaborative team of researchers and engineers to create a world-class quantitative trading operation from the ground up.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and maintain high-quality, robust data and model pipelines that support production machine learning systems.
- Build automated tools that move new models into live trading quickly, reliably, and in a reproducible way.
- Work side-by-side with quantitative and portfolio researchers to raise the performance, reliability, and scalability of trading systems and improve overall trading profitability.
What you'll bring
- At least four years of full-time professional software development experience and a strong foundation in software engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience building and running production machine learning systems or real-time data ingestion pipelines.
- Expertise in Python and/or C++ along with a commitment to iterative development and high standards for code quality.
- Fluency in English and the ability to work on-site in the United States or the United Kingdom.
- A bias for action, accountability, and independent problem-solving, plus comfort giving and receiving feedback in a collaborative, results-focused team.
What you'll get
The base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $300,000. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus that can form a meaningful part of total compensation.
