The role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position, and we welcome applications from candidates based in Latin America or Canada. You will play a vital role in our engineering department, helping us scale our infrastructure and improve the way we handle consumer-permissioned data.
Core responsibilities
- Take ownership of high-impact features and improvements for our API integration platform, which serves as the backbone for our product suite.
- Lead the integration of new consumer-permissioned data APIs while enhancing the observability of our data ingestion processes.
- Design and implement internal tooling, frameworks, and testing protocols to boost developer velocity, code quality, and overall system performance.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience at a U.S. or Canadian technology company.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with external API integrations and related protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and webhooks.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and SQL, including experience with schema design and advanced queries.
- Experience building web systems using frameworks like Express.js.
- Proven ability to design high-performance solutions within AWS and articulate technical trade-offs.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Kibana.
- A firm grasp of software testing methodologies and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
