Magnitude Capital, a dynamic alternative investment firm, is looking for a software engineer to assist with the design, development, and support of business-critical applications. You will work on the Technology team, collaborating directly with the Investing, Operations, and Investor Relations teams. This is an excellent opportunity to build and support a broad range of impactful technology solutions across the firm.

What you will do:

• Play a key role in the development and maintenance of internal software applications for data entry, portfolio and risk management, operations, investor reporting, and marketing.
• Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, data sources, and key measures to build new reports and applications as well as enhance current ones.
• Partner with other Technology team members to improve the reliability, scalability, and flexibility of the firm’s technical architecture.
• Develop applications in C# and reports in Power BI.
• Manage daily data ingestion and data quality processes.
• Support integration of 3^rd party applications and APIs (e.g., Salesforce, Bloomberg).
  
  

What you have:

• 5–7 years of software engineering experience using C#, Java, or a similar language. 3+ years of SQL experience. Experience with Snowflake or Fabric is a plus.
• Prior experience working with investment data in a financial services firm is required.
• Web development experience with a modern JavaScript framework or Blazor as well as knowledge of Python and PowerShell is preferred, but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to think analytically and solve problems logically.
• Effective communication with both the Technology team and business users.
• Comfort with evaluating and learning new technologies independently.

Compensation:

The budgeted *salary* range starts at $140,000–$170,000. Total compensation will include salary, performance-based bonus, and full benefits. Total package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and will be highly competitive relative to market. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
