The Software Engineer will provide design, development, and support for the organization that includes critical Microsoft software like SharePoint, M365, Azure, and other technology products including IT management and ticketing software and systems. This position will be responsible for implementing, designing, development, testing and deploying innovative technology solutions.
Work from home position. Preferred locations for applicants: MN, TX, AZ, FL
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Intranet / SharePoint architecture and configuration in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
- Provide daily operations support for critical Microsoft technology software and systems
- Ensure best practices for Microsoft solutions including release management and patching strategy.
- Support and continue to develop IT ticketing solution requests for end users to automate and orchestrate ticket workflows
- Analyze and translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications.
- Design, develop and implement scalable applications.
- Understand and follow Data Governance and ensure attention to data quality.
- Understand and follow defined development standards and best practices.
- Understand and ensure security and data privacy standards
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with software design, collaboration, enterprise integration and architecture with special focus on SharePoint online and MS technologies is required.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, HTML 5, CSS 3, MVC and Web service
- 3+ years of experience configuring SharePoint calendars, sites, subsites, lists, libraries, and web parts, metadata, views, modern pages, and custom workflows; as well as SharePoint permissions and Groups, Users, Roles, inheritance, and resolving common permission-related issues.
- 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design for Intranet development
- Knowledge integrating SharePoint with Workday, Oracle ERP Cloud, and third-party service vendors.
- Experience working with business sponsors and stakeholders to conceive, design, develop, test, implement, and support SharePoint solutions
- Solid understanding of SDLC and experience in leading software development business initiatives
- Experience with scrum and other agile development methods is a must
- Experience designing and developing solutions in IT management software like Fresh Service, ServiceNow, or similar products.
- Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) preferred.
A reasonable estimate of the range is $111,000.00 - $166,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity.
